Jules is a Postdoc at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) of Utrecht University, focusing on collecting, mapping and predicting concentrations of air pollutants.
His PhD was about analyzing the possibilities to create (Dutch) air pollution LUR models based on measurements collected with a mobile platform. The results of this are described in his thesis. Later, his PhD also involved the Google Air View project, where Google Streetview cars were equipped with air quality instruments and drove extensively in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
