Poster session

During lunch we will organise a poster session, where about thirty early career scientists will share their work. Abstract sumission has been closed now. A selection process will take place with the results announced within 2 weeks after the abstract submission deadline (22 April 2022).

Poster dimensions

The maximum acceptable size for a poster is A0 (84x119 cm) and should be in portrait format. Participants are asked to bring their printed poster with them. Exposome-NL researchers are encouraged to use the Exposome-NL Poster Template.

Poster Prize

A poster prize will be awarded to one poster. To be eligible for this prize you should be a PhD student or postdoc presenting your own work. The winner will be announced at the end of the day. Poster presentations will be judged on:

Technical presentation

Overall visual appeal (layout of text and figures), readability (font size, quality of printing, etc.), balance between text and figures/pictures, clear indication of presenter and her/his affiliation.

Scientific content

Title (effectively communicates the poster subject), abstract (succinctly summarises the scientific work), methods (clear outline of procedures), results (adequate/convincing summary of findings, appropriate reference to tables/figures), conclusions/future directions.

Oral presentation

The availability at the poster, understanding of materials, engagement and communication skills.
