Mingwei obtained his Master's Degree in Nutritional Epidemiology from Wuhan University, where he worked on the longitudinal association between diet quality and diseases. In November 2020, he joined the Julius Global Health as a PhD candidate. His supervisors are Ilonca Vaartjes and Rick Grobbee. His research project is embedded in the Exposome-NL, with a goal to link the external exposome to cardiometabolic diseases. He is also learning the internal exposome and seek to integrate them in future work.
